DMCA & Copyright Policy
Last updated: 14 July 2026
Hallufox respects intellectual property rights and expects users to do the same. This policy explains how to report alleged copyright infringement and how to respond if your content was removed by mistake. It follows the framework of the U.S. Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA) and similar laws.
In short: If your copyrighted work appears on Hallufox without permission, send us a takedown notice with the required details. If your content was wrongly removed, you can file a counter-notice. Repeat infringers lose their accounts.
1. Reporting infringement (takedown notice)
If you believe your copyrighted work has been used on the Services without authorization, send a written notice to our designated agent at contact@hallufox.com that includes:
- Your physical or electronic signature (or that of the authorized agent).
- Identification of the copyrighted work you claim has been infringed.
- Identification of the material you want removed, with enough detail for us to locate it (links, usernames, timestamps).
- Your contact information (name, address, email, phone).
- A good-faith statement that the use is not authorized by you, your agent, or the law.
- A statement, under penalty of perjury, that the information is accurate and that you are the rights holder or authorized to act on their behalf.
We may remove or disable access to the material once we receive a valid notice.
2. Counter-notice
If you believe your content was removed by mistake or misidentification, you may send a counter-notice to contact@hallufox.com that includes:
- Your signature.
- Identification of the removed material and the location where it appeared.
- A statement, under penalty of perjury, that you have a good-faith belief the material was removed by mistake or misidentification.
- Your name, address, and phone number, and a statement consenting to the jurisdiction of the appropriate court, and that you will accept service from the complaining party.
We may restore the material in line with the DMCA unless the original complainant files a court action.
3. Repeat infringers
We will suspend or terminate the accounts of users who are determined to be repeat infringers, in appropriate circumstances.
4. Misrepresentations
Submitting a notice or counter-notice that knowingly misrepresents the facts may expose you to liability under applicable law. If you are unsure whether use is infringing, consider seeking legal advice before submitting.
